Within the last 5 years, Wallace Walker has completed work on a number of major projects for the Ministry of Defence (MoD), the Defence Equipment and Support organisation (DE&S) and industry, including original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), prime contractors and service companies.
We had a significant role in the successful implementation of the Future Defence Supply Chain Initiative (FDSCi) endorsed solution, acknowledged as one of the largest and most successful organisational and logistics transformation programmes within the MoD. We have also completed commercialisation and business transformation work for a number of MoD Trading Funds, including the former DARA and ABRO Trading Funds, the UK Hydrographics Office and, most recently, assisted with the setting-up of the new Defence Support Group. Our work on "public to private" transformation also involved us partnering with a major investment bank to test the market on the sale of the DARA Trading Fund.
Our work with industry OEMs, primes and service companies includes major restructuring and transformation projects, such as the setting up of IPT-based and matrix-based organisations, high-level board facilitation to develop commercial strategies, preparation of business cases for MoD-industry joint ventures, and major cultural development programmes following acquisitions. We have also been deployed to troubleshoot in underperforming operating companies.
