Overview: Establishing FCO Services as an Executive Agency and then as a Trading Fund.
Headlines: FCO Services is an example of where Wallace Walker has facilitated organisational transformation in a public body that was required to become more commercially orientated.
Engaged by the Chief Executive, we provided expert advice and assistance to an in-house team to manage the process involved with changing the status of FCO Services. We assisted with the setting up and embedding of the necessary financial and commercial systems, processes and disciplines required for operating as a Trading Fund, and supported the delivery of the required organisational and management changes. We were also prominent in all external liaison and negotiation with HM Treasury, Shareholder Executive, NAO and OGC on establishing the new Trading Fund.
Technical capabilities provided: Setting up new organisations / Change in public status / Effectiveness and performance studies / Commercial development / Organisation, management and cultural change / Business case support.
Duration: June 05 - Feb 08 (2.5 years).
